About the Show

Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks animated film, Shrek the Musical brings the beloved story of Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, and a whole kingdom of fairytale misfits to the stage in a hilarious, high-energy musical adventure.

 

When the famously grumpy ogre Shrek discovers that his peaceful swamp has been overrun by banished fairytale creatures, he sets off on a quest to confront the ruler responsible, Lord Farquaad. Along the way, Shrek reluctantly teams up with the endlessly enthusiastic Donkey and finds himself on a journey that challenges everything he thought he knew about friendship and love.

 

Packed with memorable characters, big laughs, catchy music, and plenty of ogre-sized heart, Shrek the Musical turns the classic fairy tale upside down and reminds us that being different just might be the greatest happily-ever-after of all.
