Video Submission Auditions

Please note that while we prefer you come to the live auditions, we will also be accepting video submissons. Please email your audition to curtainuptheater@gmail.com no later than Friday, June 12th. You must be in person for call backs on Tuesday, June 16.

Audition Preparation

Please prepare a 32-bar excerpt of a musical theater song in the style of the show OR please prepare the linked selection of the song “Big Bright Beautiful World” from Shrek the Musical.

*** We WILL have a live accompanist at auditions, but you may also use a recorded background track. Please email your track to curtainuptheater@gmail.com at least 24 hours prior to your audition so we will be ready to play it for you.****

 

Movement Audition

Please sign up for one of the movement audition time slots in addition to your other music audition sign up. The movement audition time slots are 7:00 pm - 7:30 pm and again at 8:30 pm - 9:00 pm on both days. Please wear clothes and shoes in which you can move comfortably. For shoes, jazz shoes, character shoes, athlethic sneakers or ballet slippers are good choices.  

Please note the movement audition will not include tap dancing. There will be a tap specific audition at call backs on June 16th.

PRODUCTION DATES & INFORMATION

 

Rehearsal Schedule

We will be rehearsing Tuesdays and Thursdays evenings from 8pm to 10pm and Sundays 5pm - 8pm starting mid August at Skyrise Theater Studio B, 76 Otis Street, Westborough, MA. You will only be called to rehearsals if needed. 

 

Tech Week 

Sunday Nov. 1 - Thursday, Nov. 5 at Trottier Middle School Auditorium, 49 Parkerville Rd, Southborough, MA. 

 

Production Dates

There will be a total of 4 shows at Trottier Middle School Auditorium, 49 Parkerville Rd, Southborough, MA:

- Friday, Nov. 6, (Evening)

- Saturday Nov. 7. (Matinee and Evening)

- Sunday, Nov. 8 (Matinee)
